29 day challenge | bad habit

Day #8:  bad habit

meet my bad habit...   his name is Sausage Biscuit from McDonalds.  Honestly, I only get one of these once every couple of months, but if there was a McDonalds in my small town, I think I would be getting one every morning.

no cheese, no egg..  just biscuit and sausage...  yum!
this isn't my picture.  I seriously thought about driving to go get one to take a picture of it for the sake of today's theme!  but thanks to google images I saved myself a few hundred calories for the day.  :)
funny story..   when I was pregnant with Audrey, I craved these so much!  I would drop Wyatt off at preschool, then Landon and I would drive the 20ish minutes to the nearest McDonalds.  I would order a sausage biscuit, Landon would get apple 'ippers and then we would drive back home!

29 day challenge | fruit

Day #7:  fruit

hmm..   fruit is kind of a strange subject if you ask me..   but fruit it is.

These were fresh raspberries topping a really good lemon cake with a raspberry jam layer and homemade raspberry whipped cream icing.  It was so good  :)

29 day challenge | from a low angle

Day 5:  from a low angle

Tic Tac Toe

these cute little rocks are part of an outdoor tic tac toe game.  it's set up on our front sidewalk all summer just waiting for kiddos (or grown ups) to come sit and play.  it's always a fun conversation piece when visitors stop by.

29 day challenge | clouds

I had every intention of taking a picture of today's clouds, but the fog had other plans.  Then I thought about doing pictures of fog, because well, fog is clouds...  but, I decided to do some bright summery clouds to remind us all of warmth.  :)

our own little personal paradise.  I love winter, but I do miss flip-flops.

29 day photo challenge | Self Portrait

Sheesh, post #2 for the day... I'm on a roll!  I came across a 29 day photo challenge, courtesy of Renee, and thought maybe this is what I need to get back into the blogging habit.
So, here goes with Day #1...

Self Portrait

I sooooo wanted to use my Photoshop skills to fix me up, but thought.. nope, not gonna do it.  This is me and how I look today.   I could've taken that big pile of laundry outta there, too..  at least they're clean.  :)

Stay tuned for Day #2.

Pinterest | Oreo Truffles

I have officially been addicted to Pinterest for a month...   I have found countless recipes, ideas, cute clothes, decor, etc. etc. etc.  Of the countless recipes I've 'pinned', I have made probably a dozen of them and we haven't been disappointed yet.  I put a new recipe on the table, and my dear husband automatically says "Pinterest?".      :)

This is a recipe I pinned for him since he is a huge Oreo lover.  I originally found the recipe on Pinterest, which came from http://www.chef-in-training.com/2011/11/no-bake-oreo-truffles.html

You can check the recipe out on her site.  She says you can use 8 oz. of cream cheese instead of 4 oz.  I used 4 oz and was very happy with the consistency and texture..  plus you can still taste a little bit of the cream cheese without it being overwhelming.  So use 4 oz!

These are pictures I took this afternoon.
