these two boys live and breath baseball...  they love it

Landon was on a tball team...  he did really enjoy it even though he hadn't hit off a tee for probably over a year..   I think he'll be ready for real baseball next summer!  :)

They could only run one base at a time and there weren't any outs, but he really did take it seriously and ran hard every time

Wyatt had an awesome team this year and had a blast playing some real baseball.

He even surprised us with starting out the very first game as the starting pitcher.  He learned a lot this year playing pitcher, 3rd base, short stop, 2nd base and outfield.  He loved pitching the most.  

Wyatt's team only lost 2 games all season so they had a very successful year with great players and great coaches.

We were all sad to see the baseball season come to a close, but looking forward to next year!

Doing Chores in Style

If you're looking at the cornfield in these photos, you'll realize these pictures are a couple months old  :) BUT...   these were taken of Wyatt and Audrey while they were doing their morning chores of feeding the calves...   which leads me to let you know we have a busy week...  FAIR WEEK!  WooHoo!  Seriously love it and look forward to it every year.  We'll be MIA this week sweating it out at the fair  :)

It was hot hot hot at the parade this morning, but we had great company!  :)

impromptu date.

last night the kids spent the night at my parent's...  I had a session at 7pm which got done around 8:15 and then afterwards D and I decided to hit the town for a very rare date.  Very rarely do we go out by ourselves...   it's definitely not because we don't enjoy being with each other, we just really love taking the kids places with us.

But on this rare occasion, we left home shortly before 9pm and headed to a neighboring town for some great fatty food!  We dined on awesome cheese balls, chocolate malts and cheesy pizza.

We were even treated to live piano music while we ate.  Afterwards, we enjoyed a few minutes of live band music outside in the warm summer air.
