a girlie and her great grandpa

These two are so funny when they get together!  They sure do feed off each other.  There was a baseball game that grandpa came to after stopping at Casey's for a slice of pizza before coming to the game..     Audrey noticed he had pizza and asked him for a bite.  She ended up eating 90% of his pizza!

I absolutely love that our kiddos have 4 great grandparents that are here with us.  They are so blessed to live life knowing so many great grandparents that love them so much!

our newest addition to the farm..  chickens, which equals fresh eggs daily

I said we would never have chickens..  all of a sudden, I had an urge to have chickens, so we got chickens.  Funny how that works  :)

Love our chickens.. and love our eggs.

Got an accidental rooster (whom the boys named "Stu") and who is now in our freezer.  Poor Stu.

We got our first egg after having the chickens about a week.  We are now getting 4 daily..   should be 5  soon!  So far, 28 a week has provided enough for all of our cooking and baking needs.

Back to School - 2012

none of us were ready for this day to come..  but it came so we dealt with it.  :)

This year all three kiddos are in school which leaves for some very quiet mornings at home for me.

Wyatt - 4th Grade (Middle School)

Landon - 1st Grade (Elementary)

Audrey - Preschool (Preschool)

3 kids in 3 different buildings = wow!  are we old enough for this?  :)

This is the first year the boys have rode the bus in the mornings..  They've always rode after school, but never in the AM..  I wasn't too sure about not taking them every morning, but since they are last on the bus, their bus ride into town is only 10 minutes.  (then Wyatt rides another 20ish minutes to his school)

Audrey has been SUPER excited to start preschool and it did not disappoint.  She loved her first day and looked forward to going back today.

we weren't ready for summer to be done, but it's always good to be back into a schedule

The boys just finished up with soccer for the summer..   After one day of Soccer Camp, they had 5 soccer games throughout July and August.

 Swimming Lessons '12

 This was Audrey's first year doing swimming lessons.  We knew she would do really well since she is very comfortable in the water and swimming already.  She had a bunch of fun and learned lots of new skills.  By Day #2, she was already talking Abbey's ear off.  Abbey definitely saw Audrey's true personality!   Audrey even wanted to go off the board with no prompting.  She loved it!

 Since the boys are just one level apart, they had their lessons at the same time.   Here they are doing their kicks and treading water..  Landon had to do 30 seconds and Wyatt had to do 1 minute.

Landon learned a lot this year.  One of his favorites was diving and it shows.  He has super form every time.  Abbey let the boys jump off the lifeguard chair.  They did it over and over and over!

Wyatt has become a super strong swimmer.  He loves swimming and is a natural at it.  His favorite was jumping off the lifeguard chair!

We could not ask for a better swim instructor in Abbey.  She is patient, fun, and a super teacher!  We told her she has to stay until all of our kids are through with lessons.  :)
