Painted Pumpkins

Painting pumpkins instead of carving is what we have done the past 3 years.  The boys have a blast and they are able to participate 100% since there aren't any sharp knives to worry about.

I really thought Audrey would get into it, but she wanted N.O.T.H.I.N.G. to do with it!!!

So we ended up decorating it for her....

Landon's pumpkins usually take at least 48 hours to fully dry because he layers on so much paint!

another crisp, Autumn Saturday

I was lucky to spend my Saturday morning with this great family (which also happens to be the family of my oldest cousin, who isn't old at all by the way).  Their son, 'L' is just 2 days younger than Audrey so it will be fun to watch them grow up together.  But it was such a fun morning being able to follow 'L' around and be reminded how fun a toddler boy can be!

supper and birthday cake

After taking pictures of my parents and the grandkids, we all headed back to our house for supper and birthday cake.  (That is why everyone is matchy matchy in their brown shirts!)
It was the day before my dad's birthday so we celebrated that evening.  When presents are being opened, kids swarm!

Wyatt and Rylie had to see who was taller..  sorry Buddy, but Rylie has ya beat!

The kids were mesmerized with the Newton's Cradle.

Once we were done singing Happy Birthday, Dad didn't even have to attempt to blow out the candles....

It was automatically done for him!

He did get the final try....

Oh... Audrey got the final try!  :)

My parents and their grandkiddos

Even though the light of day was leaving us fast, we were able to get some great pictures of my parents and their 5 grandkids.  Aren't my parents so cute??   I just love 'em!

Going through the pictures, I realized it was our kids that were the nutty ones..   constantly making silly faces!

We did manage some good ones though.

Here's my hunky assistant passing out the candy...  he was well liked!  :)

Miss R is always carrying Miss A around so it was fun to get a picture of it to document in their scrapbooks for all eternity!  When they're 40 and 45, they'll look back on this picture and laugh!

Here's my cute parents again!

But we missed you Clint, Becca, Teddy and Moose!
