eleven!

Happy eleventh birthday to our oldest child.

Wyatt is a strong, tender-hearted, sensitive, strong-willed and happy person.

Wyatt is his happiest when he is outdoors surrounded by animals and nature.   Wyatt also loves helping.   Give him a job to do and he is a great worker!

Wyatt's 2 big loves are hunting and baseball.

We love you, Wyatt Alan!  Happy Birthday!

New Year

We celebrated the new year by having a yummy breakfast of Apple Fritters.  You can find the recipe here.   They were very very good!

note:  watch your oil temp!   for the last batch, the oil temp rose above 350 degrees which meant the outsides were done way before the insides.   gooey apple fritters aren't yummy!
note:  I used apple sauce instead of grated apple and it worked great!

Friday Favs - Baby Edition

1 |  Bright Starts Baby Links  Cody loves loves loves his links!   I have some in the diaper bag, by the changing table and in his toy basket..   these keep him content for quite a long time.

2 |  JJ Cole Urban Bundleme in Ice  Audrey had the same one in pink and when we found out we were expecting, I quickly grabbed up the grey if baby was a boy, just in case they stopped making these before we found out the gender.  My only gripe is now that he's getting older, he doesn't like it on his face and likes to pull it down as we're walking outside in -10 degree temps.

3 | Melissa & Doug Sterling Elephant  This oh-so-soft elephant was a Christmas gift to Cody from us.  You have to feel this elephant to believe just how soft it is.

4 | Baby Bee Face & Hand Cloths   Often after eating, Cody's face gets irritated when using just a clean washcloth to clean his face off so I went on the hunt for a gentle face cleansing cloth..  I tried a few different brands that I quickly threw out because the smell was so strong!   I finally found these Baby Bee's wipes.   Honestly, when we wipe his face, he stops what he's doing, puts a huge smile on his face and just relaxes.   They smell wonderful (just a hint of gentle fragrance) and they are so soft.

5 | Gap Hooded One Piece  Cody has this in a sweatshirt so when I saw the Summer version, I quickly scooped it up!   Soft and cute.

6 | Old Navy Roll-Up Cargos in Red  Cute cute for Spring and Summer

7 | Oball Rattle  Another favorite toy of Cody's.   He's been able to play with this since he was about 3-4 months old..   grabs on and shakes!

8 | Pottery Barn Gray Classic Tote Diaper Bag  Roomy with lots of pockets and I love the grey, white and camel!

9 | Gap Paddington Bear Rainboots  Gap's new Spring line for babies is Paddington Bear.  These yellow boots caught my eye..  Cody probably won't be splashing in any puddles this Spring, but maybe for Fall  :)

10 | Aden & Anais Dream Blanket  These are made out of the same material as their Swaddler Blankets, but it has more layers so it's warm for the colder months.   We use ours pretty much as Cody's play blanket..  where he sits in the living room and plays with toys.  It's thick enough that it doesn't move around when he does.

11 | Aden & Anais Starburst teething toy  No teeth yet for Mr. Cody so he will be getting lots of use out of this toy still.  I really like how it's neutral and not so brightly colored.
