winter recital

Audrey had a winter dance recital in early December.  It was fun to see some things the girls have been working on.  We are really excited about this new dance studio she's attending and Audrey really loves dance again!

Can you find Audrey?  Far left with the bun on top of her head.

first at five

Cody had his first taste of "food" around 5 months old.  We didn't really feel it was necessary before then..   we have slowly been introducing new foods, but we're really not in a huge hurry.  He enjoys food, but really still loves his bottle the most.

Peas were his first real food.
I have made all homemade baby food since Wyatt was a baby..  It's so simple, fast and healthy!

As of today, applesauce is Cody's favorite, but he will pretty much eat anything we feed him.
He had a little spell where he would throw a royal fit if we tried to feed him anything BUT applesauce so he was banned from applesauce for a couple of weeks before he decided to get his act together.  :)

Ready for his peas!  Doesn't he look super excited  :)

love

Just my baby and me.

I don't even remember who took this photo but I love it.

blankets in the grass

Cody spent hours and hours laying on his blanket in the grass this summer.  He could watch the trees and clouds for hours.

baseball in the backyard

Hours and hours and hours are spent in this backyard playing baseball.
Check out the spot by "home plate"…  it's a dirt spot that has the grass completely worn out from hundreds of slides into home plate.

I love seeing this spot because someday when the kids are grown and out of the house, it will be sad to have the grass grow back.

Audrey got the camera again   :)

Then the boys got the camera

She looks pretty tough!

flowers and veggies

We had an abundance of both wildflowers and vegetables this year.  Audrey and I took advantage of the wildflower patch and had lots of pretty bouquets in the house throughout the summer.   We also had some beautiful photo sessions in the patch this summer with clients.

There is nothing more fun than picking wildflowers with my daughter.   Especially when she's wearing a tutu and western shirt!   :)

The garden was another place of abundance this year.  We got it planted really late in the year and weren't sure we would really get anything from it, but we were pleasantly surprised!

This is what our deck table looked like so often throughout the late summer months.  This didn't even show the HUNDREDS of pounds of tomatoes we got this year.   We spent a lot of time in the kitchen canning and freezing.

This coming Spring, we are planning on more than tripling the wildflower patch which makes me SOOO happy!!!   Hello bouquets and photo sessions!
