Here are this week's friday favs.   Not too many, but we gotta leave some for other weeks, right!?!  :)

  

Sonia Kashuk Nail Colour - Sugar Rush

I am a nail picker, so I will rarely wear colored polish because I will have it picked off within 24 hours. Seriously!   This polish is neutral and pretty and adds just the right amount of finish to my nails without it being obvious to me that my nails are painted..    which leads to me leaving them alone.  

Vaseline Cocoa Butter

I use the deep conditioning formula.   This smells so so so yummy..  It's rare for me to take the time every day to lather up with lotion, but since I've found this one, it's a treat!

Sonia Kashuk foundation sponges

I've been using these for a few years and haven't switched to a different brand because I like these so much.  D has even put these in my stocking for Christmas.  :)

Crockpot Chicken Fajitas

A go-to recipe for me..  super easy and very good!  Just throw frozen chicken breasts, a packet of fajita seasoning and one sliced green pepper all in a crockpot and let go on slow all day.  Shred right before serving and then serve with tortilla shells and shredded cheese.  Yum!

Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in Shell

One of those lipsticks that look great with any clothing colors.   And it's just a shade darker than my natural lip color so it looks very natural yet polished.

carving?!?!?!

for those of you who have followed our blog for a few years, probably know that we always paint our pumpkins instead of carving..    This year, D decided he was ready to carve again... I think it's only because he had the brilliant idea to purchase a Dremel tool to do the carving with..  He had fun!  :)

We weren't too elaborate with our designs but we all had fun  :)

Burt's Bees Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm

-I have super dry lips and nothing seems to help...  nothing...   but I have found that this ultra conditioning formula has been the best for my lips and actually makes a little bit of difference..  yay!

It's been surprising easy to find around where we live and it's always a treat to be able to stop in at MooRoo for some of their homemade ice cream.

What are some of your favs on this Friday?

eight in eleven

We got married in 2001..   since then, we have had 8 different main vehicles..   Along with a main vehicle, we've always had a good pickup and a work pickup at the same time..  so this number 8 doesn't even begin to touch all of the different good pickups and work pickups we've had through these 11 years.  I'm not sure I could even remember all the different pickups we've had.

This Red Chevy is very similar to the very first vehicle we had when we got married.  LOVED this truck!  We dated in this, got married with this truck and I drove this to college every day after we got married.

 I remember when I was pregnant with Wyatt and SO sick, D brought home a White Mercury Mountaineer like this one below.  I did not like that Mountaineer, but I wonder if it was because I felt so crummy when he "surprised" me with it.  :)  It had a sunroof and leather perforated seats! 

 We then traded the Mountaineer for a Ford Explorer..    I liked this better than the Mountaineer.  Wyatt was so sad when we traded this off..  He always said when he got old enough to drive, he was going to find this Explorer again and buy it.

 Finally decided we needed a van when we had both boys..   We got an AWD Chrysler Town & Country.

Then traded the Chrysler van for a newer Dodge Grand Caravan..   really liked this van!  Audrey was a newborn when we got it.  And it even had two automatic doors!

 THEN..   we traded that silver Dodge Grand Caravan for a BRAND NEW silver Dodge Grand Caravan..  I really liked this van...   Until we had a very hard winter and had to drive the truck most days just to get through our gravel roads.  That's when we decided we needed 4-wheel drive again.

So we got a Chrysler Aspen.   I like the Aspen a lot, until the kids' legs started growing longer and longer and longer and they just did not fit good any more.   Sooo...

we got a Chevy Suburban.  I always said I would never drive anything this big, but it has definitely been a super decision and we really really like it...    The kids fit great, there is room in the "trunk" even with all of the room up front and it's no longer than a pickup, which I'm used to driving anyway.  When the time comes for vehicle #9, I will definitely want another!

So there you have it, all of the main vehicles that have parked in our garage the past 11 years.

None of the vehicles pictured above are the actual ones we owned, but are pretty darn close.

It's fun to look back on the different rides we've had and all the fun memories our family has had with them.

I recently found a box of a lot of my Barbies, clothes, furniture, and other fun Barbie stuff.

Audrey loved having the Barbie's go for a swim on the deck many times throughout the summer.

It's so fun to have my girlie girl love Barbies as much as I did when I was her age.  :)

the kids latest most of the night...  good thing we were only 15 feet from our house because around 3am they all got COLD!   I could've lasted all night but I was also dressed for winter.  :)

It was fun, and we'll all be ready for another tent adventure next year.  

private pool

Towards the end of the summer, there were quite a few days we headed to the pool in the late afternoon and we were the only ones there.  These were also days that is was a bit breezy and cooler so Audrey wasn't too keen on getting in the water...  so she just danced to the music playing. 

Landon did a lot of sitting also, but Wyatt loved having the pool all to himself!
