After church on Mother's Day, we went to our local recreational park for a picnic of yummy sub sandwiches that 'D' made for us all. It was a bit chilly so we ended up eating in the van, but it was still fun! Afterwards, we got out and fed the geese.Wednesday, May 13, 2009

the Best Kiddos EVER!!!
A few days ago (that's right!! Not even on Mother's Day), the boys knocked on the door and presented me with a bucket and a wagon full of these sweet little flowers off of my creeping phlox. This morning on Mother's Day, they gave me a beautiful hanging flower basket, a profile sillouette that Wyatt had made at school and 2 great cards!
Yesterday, Darin handed me an invisible coupon.... "Good for one flowering tree" to plant in the front yard. So now, we are off to Lowe's to pick out my tree.
Toodalooo!!

"W Lamb"
That is the real, true name of this lamb (named by 'W'). You see, this is 'W's' own lamb and she has a tag in her ear with a big W written on it so of course, this crafty 6-year old thought the perfect name should be "W Lamb".
In order for "W Lamb" to get used to 'W', 'D' put a halter on her to be led around the yard. It started out as expected.... "W Lamb" didn't want to be led around the yard! So "W Lamb" got pulled around the yard.

She kept getting more and more stubborn

I ♥ Faces "Hats"
Hats
I really enjoyed the theme this week because our family really does live in hats! All 5 of us wear them on an almost daily basis so it was easy to find pictures of us in hats, but I took some more pix today to make these entries extra special.
"Adults" entry
I'm not sure if this qualifies for the adult category since there are 2 kiddos in this picture, but I decided to enter it anyway... I took this today as we were swapping kids after 'W' got home from school. 'L' spent most of the day with 'D' in the tractor(cat) so it was now 'W's' turn. This picture pretty much sums up the Springs and Falls in our lives.... Black dirt, tractors, and boys in caps."Kid" entry
'A' has a couple of these hats.... for the most part she loves wearing them. She enjoys pulling the hats off and putting them back on which drastically distorts the shape of the hat, but after a few flips and flops in the dryer, it's back to its original shape.

The last 36 hours...
were spent at an awesome photography seminar put on by Sam (Sandy) Puc. I learned so much in the 5 actual hours of the seminar it made my head spin!
I am SO looking forward to next year's theme... Families! Too bad I can't buy my ticket today! But seriously, if you are a photographer (or aspiring photographer at heart like myself) who wants to learn from one of the very best in the field, consider attending next year's seminar. Just google Sam Puc and you can find her website for more info.

To top it off, 'D' went with me and we got to stay in a pretty neat hotel! It was much nicer than the kind of hotel we usually stay at (sorry Holiday Inn, but it's true!). Below are a few pix from our King Suite. The towels were pretty, the bed was comfy and the shampoo smelled divine!

We were a little too high for 'D's' comfort, but we survived! There was an office building right next to our hotel and we could see right into the offices. 'D' loved watching the people while they worked...
